Heathrow Scientific expanding to Lincolnshire
Heathrow Scientific, a global manufacturer of bench top equipment and lab essentials, is expanding from Vernon Hills to new offices at 325 Marriott in Lincolnshire.
Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services firm said Heathrow Scientific has signed a build-to-suit agreement for 186,616 square feet at the 10-acre site.
Heathrow wants to use the space as a laboratory space to test medical equipment. Manufacturing will not be done at the two-story office space.
"As both owner and tenant at 325 Marriott, we are delighted to create a space tailored to the needs of our company," said James Woldenberg, principal and CEO of Heathrow Scientific. "We are confident our business and employees will enjoy their new home as well as the amenities within and adjacent to the building. We look forward to offering these same benefits to other future tenants on the site."
Construction broke ground in July of this year and Heathrow Scientific will take occupancy in April 2019.
The Cushman & Wakefield team of Brett Kroner, Keith Purit and Eric Fischer represented Heathrow Scientific in the transaction.
The Cushman & Wakefield team is also acting as leasing agent on the remaining site, offering 68,589 square feet of space for lease with a delivery date in the spring of 2019. The available space includes, 36-foot clear ceilings, frontage on Route 22, along with six exterior docks and is ideal for warehouse/distribution, assembly and light manufacturing uses.
