Palatine library program to focus on health care

A free program for adults called "In Your Hands: Advocating for Yourself in a Changing Health Care Environment" will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Palatine Public Library District.

The hourlong program will feature registered nurse Teri Dreher. The award-winning critical care nurse and professional patient advocate is expected to discuss how to identify qualified medical providers, receive the best hospital care and navigate what's regarded as a complex health care system.

For more information, call (847) 358-5881, ext. 167, or visit palatinelibrary.org. The library is at 700 N. North Court.
