Create a glass pumpkin at Mundelein glass artist's open house

Peter Patterson Glassworks, 888 Tower Road in Mundelein, is holding its annual Halloween pumpkins open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Oct. 28.

The public is invited to visit the studio and create a small ($35) or large ($65) custom glass pumpkin. This year's special creation is a tie-dyed variation. Pumpkins can be picked up a few days later, after the glass cools down. Minimum age to participate is 10.
