Family in need of style, door upgrade

This house was built in 1957. My husband and I have lived here for 52 years. With all the fingerprints of family and friends, my grandchildren and my great-grandchildren, they will be forever in my heart.

But it is still time to update these old doors and start a new chapter. We are both retired and on a limited budget and could really use some help. Thank you.

Doors can experience a lot of wear and tear as a family grows up. This is the case with the Mitchell family. This house was built in 1957 and its old, dark doors definitely need an update.

Suggestions

• Replacing your aging interior doors with all new designer doors can make an incredible transformation. HomeStory Chicago carries a large selection of interior doors that can help update your space.

• For this space, we would suggest the Signature series interior door. Our two-panel interior door is resistant to warping, shrinking and cracking. These are our most popular selling doors.

• The Signature door also comes in a four- or six-panel option.

• Not only stylish, the solid core version of the popular Signature door helps reduce noise transmission between rooms.
