Endorsement: Wojnicki for Kane County Board District 15

A controversial proposed alcohol and drug treatment center on Silver Glen Road outside of Campton Hills is one of the biggest issues in Kane County Board District 15, which is represented by Republican Barbara Wojnicki of St. Charles. Democrat Lucas Strom, a farmer and business executive from Maple Park, is challenging Wojnicki, claiming his background offers a fresh perspective and Wojnicki didn't do enough to prevent the treatment center. Wojnicki contends she strongly opposed the center and points to her role in successfully preserving open space and relocating a county diagnostic center to a safer location. Wojnicki is endorsed.
