Endorsement: De Hoyos for Kane County Board District 3

Some elected officials are independent thinkers not always following party lines. Anita Lewis faces Olynda M. De Hoyos in Kane County Board District 3. Lewis, who has a history of pulling a Republican ballot, is a former District 131 board member who was hand-picked by Chairman Chris Lauzen to run as a Democrat last March to unseat Don Ishmael. De Hoyos has no experience in county government. She also has no baggage nor is she tethered to anyone. She has spunk, an open mind and says she's eager to dive in. Not being a rubber stamp and her fresh perspectives give her an edge. De Hoyos is endorsed.
