Brown endorsed for Lake County Board District 18
Holding the line on property taxes is a key issue for Vernon Hills candidates vying for the Lake County Board District 18 seat. Republican Karimar "Kari" Brown is active in the community and a business owner. She has concrete ideas. Democrat Julie Simpson, a school board member at Hawthorn District 73, would have a better shot at working for tax relief at the school level as schools account for 70 percent of local taxes. Her work on the school board is valued. Brown is endorsed.
