Aurora man announces fourth run for city council
Matt Harrington is running again for a seat on the Aurora City Council.
In his fourth bid, he is seeking the 6th Ward post, according to a news release.
Harrington ran unsuccessfully for alderman-at-large in 2017. He lost in the primary in February 2013 for the 9th Ward post. He was removed from the ballot in 2011 when he sought the alderman-at-large post.
The release says Harrington is the chief executive officer for a company called Ammo Coding System, which can print serial numbers on bullets and their casings.
It says he helped found the Coalition for a New Chicago, and Lines4Lives, a nonprofit effort concerning gun and ammunition legislation.
