How hard is it to fix the Social Security tax?

Democrats and Republicans (Casten/Roskam) can't seem to agree what is right for the American public.

Why does there need to be a cap for Social Security taxes at $128,400? One of these candidates had insulted people earning $60,000 to $80,000 by stating people who make $128,000 are having a hard time making a go of it! Are you serious?

Institute a decreasing tax scale once $128,000 is reached. Go to 5 percent for the net $10,000 and 4 percent for the next, etc. Do you get the drift? Politicians messed this up to begin with. So fix it. It's not rocket science!
