Open house at new Moraine Township center

Moraine Township is hosting a tour of its new office and food pantry from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 800 Central Ave., Highland Park. Residents will learn about programs and services, meet township staff and visit with neighbors. Township services include door-to-door van transportation for seniors and disabled residents; RTA discount cards; voter registration; free notary service; health insurance enrollment help; and, passport application processing. Utility assistance and free income tax return preparation are available to income-eligible residents. Items needed for the food pantry include cooking oil, jelly/jam and pasta sauce.
