Democrat Casimir Kwiatkowski is seeking his first elected office against longtime county politician Judy Martini, citing as his No. 1 concern property tax relief. He wants to streamline departments, create jobs and eliminate waste. Martini, a Republican, is in her second tenure on the board; she once held the District 1 seat for 14 years. She touts recent sewer, flood relief and water quality projects and lists sound representation as her top priority. Kwiatkowski has shown little understanding of county operations. We endorse Martini.
