Girls golf: Stevenson places fifth

Stevenson places fifth: At the Class 2A IHSA state meet at Hickory Point Golf Club in Decatur, Stevenson took fifth place as a team, shooting a two-day total of 629.

St. Charles North won the state championship.

Individually, Emily Duan was Stevenson's top finisher. She tied for seventh with a 150. Junior Joyce Bai had a 158, senior Sophia Zhuang a 159 and sophomore Kelly Dong a 162.

Lauren Beaudreau of Benet won the state title with a 140.
