ESPN1000 celebrates 20th anniversary in Libertyville

ESPN1000 Chicago celebrated its 20th anniversary as the flagship station of ESPN radio with a live "Fanniversary" event Friday at Austin's Fuel Room in Libertyville. The event included a live broadcast of "Golic & Wingo," "Kap & Co.," "Carmen & Jurko" and "Waddle & Silvy."

"ESPN 1000 has provided Chicago sports fans with an outlet for listening to, sharing and experiencing every top Chicago sports story for the past 20 years," Jim Pastor, vice president and general manager of the station said in a news release.
