Barrington hosting open house for sales tax referendum
Barrington village board members are hitting the road to hold an open house regarding a Nov. 6 ballot measure that'll ask if a local sales tax should be enacted to generate a projected $1 million to help pay for infrastructure improvements including streets, parking lots and sidewalks.
The open house featuring a presentation and question-and-answer session is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane.
