West Dundee celebrates fall with Halloween Party Oct. 20

The eighth annual West Dundee Halloween Party will be noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Grafelman Park, 112 N. Fifth St.

This is a free family event accepting donations for FISH Food Pantry in Carpentersville.

Activities have traditionally included pumpkin decorating, hayrides through Old Town, trunk or treat, costume contests, tons of games for all ages, scavenger hunt and more.

It is a great event for families with young children!

The Halloween Party also offers opportunities for businesses, nonprofit groups and individuals to participate and show their community (and Halloween) spirit.

"Trunk-or-Treat" participants are needed, as well as volunteers to assist with planning and day-of operations.

Sponsors are also sought to help defer the costs of the event through monetary and in-kind donations.

For more information, visit "West Dundee Halloween Party" on Facebook or contact the village hall at villagehall@wdundee.org.
