Scarecrow Festival returns to Memorial Park in Barrington

Everyone is invited to Barrington's 18th annual Scarecrow Festival, a family-friendly, free event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Memorial Park.

This extremely popular event is emceed by Bob the DJ and features free pumpkin, scarecrow, and cookie decorating. Also on tap are pony rides, inflatable games, face painting, and other fun activities throughout the day. Pumpkins, cookies and painting supplies are provided for free; participants are asked to bring old clothes for scarecrow decorating.

The event is sponsored by Chirofit, Heinens, village of Barrington, Meatheads, Jewel and Bob the DJ.

Memorial Park is at Hough and Lincoln avenues.
