Fights for taxpayers

Well, no surprise. Lake County still has some of the highest property taxes in the whole country. And depending on how this election goes in November, they could go up even more. My family and I keep asking each other how much more we can take of this before we consider moving somewhere outside of Illinois. These sky-high property taxes are affecting every person in my neighborhood, my town, Lake County, and our state. Luckily for us living in Lake County, we have someone fighting for us and who has our back. That person is our Treasurer David Stolman.

He is at least being open and transparent with us on where our tax dollars are going. He is making a true effort to help lower our property taxes and helping hold our local governments accountable. If more government officials were like David Stolman, we would actually trust that our government is doing everything they can for us and know that they are fighting for us.

Before Mr. Stolman took office, I had no clue where my property taxes were being spent or where I could even go for answers. Treasurer Stolman answered those questions before I even thought to ask. He is preparing the community to lower our property taxes and seems like he actually cares about us and taxes. With how fed up I am on my property taxes, I'm sure he feels the same way. How couldn't he?

Mr. Stolman, I appreciate your service and your commitment to all of Lake County in helping us fight for lower property taxes. We need David Stolman in office for another term so we can finally make some progress lowering our property taxes.
