Two men accused of harassment, making threats at Palatine bar and grill
Two Palatine men face misdemeanor charges stemming from the harassment of patrons and threats to employees at a downtown bar and grill, authorities said Friday.
Damon Jump, 42, and Thomas McGrath, 47, both of the same address on the 1100 block of East Northwest Highway, were charged with one count of disorderly conduct each in the Wednesday night incident, Palatine police said.
Police said officers were sent to a bar and restaurant on the 100 block of North Bothwell Street at 6 p.m. The two men were "threatening the well-being" of the wait staff, according to the case report.
After leaving the inside of the establishment, both men began harassing outdoor seating customers, police said. The men were asked by the employees for a second time to leave the venue.
Police said the officers found the men a short distance from the bar and grill in question.
McGrath and Jump are free on bail. They are to appear Oct. 25 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.
