Arlington Heights cancels two Saturday events due to weather

Arlington Heights officials have canceled two community events scheduled for Saturday due to expected inclement weather.

The village's special events commission on Friday decided to cancel the Autumn Harvest event that was scheduled in North School Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and there are no plans to reschedule it this year.

The village's bicycle and pedestrian advisory commission also canceled its community bike ride that was planned for Saturday. The next ride will be held in the spring of 2019.
