Hanover Park man sentenced in 2017 attempted shooting

Gene Boyd, 31, was sentenced to eight years in prison, according to court records. He received credit for 603 days in custody. He was also ordered to pay $399 in fines.
According to prosecutors, a guest staying at a Hanover Park house arranged to buy crack cocaine from Boyd's girlfriend for $40. When she delivered the drugs, the man gave her $15 and ran off, prosecutors said.
