Carpentersville

• A juvenile was charged Sept. 28 with unlawful possession of cannabis and violating curfew, police said. During a traffic stop about 12:15 a.m., officers found him with 1.2 grams of a substance containing marijuana, police said.

• A resident in the 3000 block of Wakefield Drive reported Sept. 27 that someone broke the passenger's-side window and damaged the passenger door of her vehicle while it was parked in the driveway overnight.

• About $13,740 worth of tools - including nail guns, a gas compressor and generators - were reported stolen Sept. 26 from a van on the 200 block of Tee Road.

• A $1,300 saw was reported stolen Sept. 26 from a vehicle on the 0-100 block of Sparrow Road.

Geneva

• A MacBook and charger, a total value of $2,550, were stolen between 8 and 11:26 a.m. Sept. 16 from a vehicle on the 700 block of Fox Run Drive. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.

• An unlocked red BMX race bike, valued at $275, was stolen between 6:45 and 7:05 p.m. Sept. 28 from outside the McDonald's, 1190 E. State St.

Kane County

• A wallet containing credits cards and an envelope with $2,300 inside were stolen from a vehicle on the 39W400 block of Baert Lane near St. Charles between 11:50 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday. One credit card also was used to make $994 in purchases at a Walmart in Elgin.
