Tickets available for Save-A-Pet's 32nd annual Tuxedos for Tails dinner and auction

Tickets are now available for Save-A-Pet's 32nd annual Tuxedos for Tails Gala event to be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at The Arboretum Club 401 W. Half Day Road, Buffalo Grove. The event supports the mission of Save-A-Pet, a nonprofit organization that rescues dogs and cats and operates a full-time adoption center in Grayslake.

The theme of this year's event is "Magical Masquerade" and festive masks will be provided to each guest. The gala event will feature cocktails, including Save-A-Pet's signature Paw Punch, appetizers, dinner, and dessert.

Entertainment includes live and silent auctions, raffles, and a wine pull. One of the raffles is called "Yacht in a Box" and provides the winner with an afternoon on a luxury yacht on Lake Michigan in the 2019 boating season. There will be many additional surprises throughout the evening.

Available in the live auction is an adventure package titled "9 Lives" with nine thrill-seeking events to try. Other auction packages include a Tom Petty signed guitar, Chicago Bears ticket package, Chicago Bulls Skybox package, dog- and cat-themed baskets, custom artwork and more.

This marquee event commemorates 46 years of saving the lives of thousands of dogs and cats throughout the Chicago area, while raising critical funds for the agency's mission.

Single tickets are $125, tables of 10 are $1,000, and various sponsorships are available, all of which can be purchased via Save-A-Pet's website at www.saveapetil.org.

Proceeds from the Tuxedos for Tails gala will directly fund all animal-related expenses at Save-A-Pet, including but not limited to: rescue services, resident intake, medical/rehabilitative care, and facility maintenance. Tickets and sponsorships are tax deductible up to the value of the donation.

Save-A-Pet is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization and has saved more than 63,000 animals, and expanded thousands of families with the love of an adopted pet. Relying solely on donor generosity, Save-A-Pet is one of the largest no-kill cat and dog rescues in Lake County and costs more than $1,600,000 per year to operate.
