Local seniors club hosts monthly luncheon Oct. 10

Bright, sunny skies and bright sunny smiles were the order of the day as the Hampshire-Burlington Senior Citizens Club resumed their regular, monthly luncheon schedule after their summer hiatus.

Autumn decorations made the great hall festive as the members enjoyed a delicious potluck luncheon.

When the tables were cleared Sgt. Ron Hain of the Kane County Sheriff's Department and a candidate for Kane County Sheriff, offered a presentation on law enforcement in Kane County.

The Hampshire-Burlington Senior Citizens Club meets the second Wednesday of month, from September through June. All area seniors are invited to join. The next meeting will be Oct. 10. It's a potluck so fix your favorite recipe and come join your friends and neighbors for the fun.

The club meets at 11:30 a.m. in the Hampshire Township Administration Building, 170 Mill Ave. in Hampshire.
