Experience the horrors at Haunted Quarry

Was that just the wind blowing in the trees or is someone walking up behind you?

Swimming season has ended but that doesn't mean all is quiet at the Quarry. Face your fears and experience all the nightmares that await you at the Haunted Quarry.

Haunted Quarry, 400 S. Water St., Batavia, will be open from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 13 and 20, and is not suitable for kids younger than age 10. Admission is $10, and cash or credit card will be accepted. Advance ticket purchase of $8 per ticket is available now through Thursday, Oct. 12.

If you're interested in volunteering as a tour guide, makeup artist or costumed scare character, contact Brittany Bruno at brittanyb@bataviaparks.org.

This is an opportunity for service hours, team building and community groups. All volunteers will receive dinner each night they work and a special volunteer T-shirt.

Adults ages 18 and older must undergo a background check and complete a volunteer application by Friday, Oct. 5.
