Deerfield 23, Vernon Hills 20: The visiting Warriors handed the Cougars their fourth loss in a row.

Deerfield improved to 3-3 and 2-0 in the Central Suburban League North Division. Vernon Hills, which visits Maine East next Friday night, fell to 2-4 and 0-2.
