Hoffman Estates Figure Skaters Heading to Regional Championships

The Hoffman Estates Park District (HE Parks) is proud to announce 13 of its Figure Skating Academy skaters have qualified for the Upper Great Lakes Regional Figure Skating Championships October 3-7 in Peoria, Illinois, where skaters from eight states will compete.

"We're so proud of our skaters and their coaches," said Melissa Motyka-Ciavarella, figure skating manager for HE Parks. "They have worked so hard this year, we wish them luck and know they're going to do a fantastic job."

The following skaters will compete in the following categories: Isabella Martins, Intermediate Ladies; Morgan Brynjelsen, Excel Pre-Juvenile Girls; Emily Niziolek Excel Pre-Preliminary Girls; Anna Wakabayashi Pre-Preliminary Girls; Julia Seta, Pre-Preliminary Girls; Julia Jacubiec, Pre-Preliminary Girls; Laiken Lockley, Junior Ladies; Sydney Song, Excel Pre-Juvenile Girls; Lourdes Andriukaitis, Novice Ladies; Samantha Chapin, Excel Pre-Preliminary Girls; Abigail Vallejera, Excel Pre-Preliminary Girls; Riley Roquet, Pre-Preliminary Well-Balanced; Breanna Lee-Kidd, Pre-Juvenile Girls.

HE Parks offers year-round figure skating group lessons starting at age three, for beginners through the Freeskate levels at the Triphahn Ice Arena. The park district also offers private lessons available for all levels, including the highest level of competitive skaters. Each year, skaters have the opportunity to perform in an exciting exhibition with music, dramatic lighting and spotlights.
