Man gunned down in Waukegan identified

The Lake County Coroner's Office Friday identified Terrance Shelton, 51, of Waukegan as the man found shot to death outside of his home on North Jackson Street at 12:11 a.m. Thursday. Coroner Howard Cooper said in a news release an autopsy on Shelton was performed at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, and preliminary results show he died of injuries caused by gunshot wounds. The investigation into his death is ongoing and officials are awaiting toxicology reports, Cooper said.
