Rolling Meadows Fourth-grader Adam Feng Won Gold at the International Chinese Martial Arts Championship
Adam Feng, a fourth-grader and a local Rolling Meadows resident, won first places on both empty-handed form and Short Weapon form at the 2018 International Chinese Martial Arts (Wushu) Championship, held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at St. Charles, Illinois, competing with several hundreds Wushu athletes from around the globe.
Adam Feng has practiced Wu Shu (Chinese Martial Arts) at Soaring Eagle Kung Fu School since age 5. He trains four days a week and is learning both traditional Shaolin style and contemporary Chinese Martial Arts. There are lots of jumps and kicks in his training. His weapon forms include long staff, broadsword, chain whip, double-edged sword, and spear.
