Man wounded in stabbing near O'Hare airport parking area

Authorities say a man stabbed another man during an argument near a parking area at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport before a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer intervened to stop the knife attack.

The stabbing happened early Wednesday and police say the men in their 50s were known to solicit passengers for cab rides at the airport. No airline passengers were involved.

Police say the men were arguing while on a walkway bridge from Terminal 5 and they rode an escalator to the ground parking lot level. Police say one stabbed the other in the abdomen.

Customs and Border Protection says the officer spotted them, drew his gun and ordered the man to drop the knife before he was taken into custody.

The other man was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
