Kane County

• A drill, tool box, impact gun and bag of saws were stolen from a work van on the 6N100 block of Sylvania Lane near St. Charles between 9 p.m. Sunday and 9:45 a.m. Monday, for a total loss of $920.

• Luis A. Tejeda, 39, of the 600 block of South River Street, Aurora, was arrested and charged with felony obstruction of justice, possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belt after a traffic stop about 9:32 p.m. Sept. 4 on New York Street in Aurora, according to a sheriff's report. Tejeda drove erratically after deputies tried to pull him over and when he stopped, a deputy noticed Tejeda was chewing on what turned out to be marijuana, the report said. Tejeda was told to spit it out, but the wind blew it away before deputies could collect it. A glass pipe also was found in Tejeda's vehicle, the report said.

• An iMac computer, keyboard, USB drive, and golf club set were stolen from a house on the 0-99 block of Lake Shore Drive near Carpentersville between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sept. 5, for a total loss of $1,460.

• Edward T. Pavlica, 49, of the 2400 block of Fairchild Lane, West Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, failure to signal and improper lane use after a traffic stop at 8:22 p.m. Sept. 6, at Route 64 and Randall Road in St. Charles, according to a sheriff's report. Pavlica admitted to deputies he took more pain pills than instructed in his daily prescription, the report said.
