Bashing each other online

I was looking for a post on Facebook to comment. What I found was 90 percent of all posts were either pro-Trump or con-Trump. What I found interesting was none of the comments had any substance, just people saying something assuming their readers were in agreement with their opinion.

It quickly brought to mind that recently media noted Tiger Woods and Jim Brown were bashed for supporting Trump, basically respecting his role as president. Later, I watched Jimmy Kimmel on Late Night instead of giving a typical comical intro (i.e., Johnny Carson) spend the entire time bashing Trump for supposedly using the N-word but with no facts to back his claim other than the words of a woman who only served in the White House because of the man she is bashing.

My immediate question for Mr. Kimmel if he wanted to go that direction, was why not bash the pope and demand his resignation because the church did nothing about Cardinal McCarrick's abuse of children for so many years?

Let me make one final comment on President Trump. Hate him, support him or respect him, Donald Trump is the president of the United States elected by the people of this country. As an American just like with Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy and Eisenhower. Had they been in command when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor it is our duty, our responsibility, our honor, to defend this country which allowed these men to be put in command of our country.

Don't you dare come back and bash me for being an American. When a lot of you stayed home, I went and served (e.g., Vietnam).
