Hanover Township Mental Health Board awards funding

The Hanover Township Mental Health Board approved $49,698 in funding at its Aug. 28 meeting.

Gigi's Playhouse in Hoffman Estates received $11,000 for expansion of professional and fitness programs.

Clearbrook received $5,000 to update its community home in Hoffman Estates that serves people with disabilities.

The board awarded $5,000 to Renz Addiction Counseling Center in Elgin to update its building infrastructure.

Shelter, Inc. received $5,000 for a vehicle purchase to transport children and adults to medical appointments, therapy and specialized care.

The board approved $7,000 for Administer Justice, a non-profit based in Elgin that provides a variety of services to low-income individuals facing civil legal matters.
