3rd Annual Deer Park Art Show
Amdur Productions has announced a new date for the 3rd annual Deer Park Art Show, which takes place over Labor Day weekend the elegant Deer Park Town Center. More than 30 juried artists will showcase and sell original work in a variety of categories including ceramics, glass, furniture, photography, jewelry, mixed media, drawing, fiber and more! Live music featuring Cirrus Falcon, kid-friendly activities, artist demonstrations, and booth chats to learn more about the artists and their work, make the Deer Park Art Show a family favorite. Spend the weekend in the heart of Deer Park Town Center enjoying the spectacular art while sampling food from local food vendors including Hell's Kitchen (serving lemonade and shaved ice) and Magic Circle Crepes.
Kids will enjoy fun art activities including art fest bingo, spin art, coloring and a graffiti wall. New this year is the Deer Park "Hands Together" Mural Project. Kids and adults of all ages are invited to add their hand print to a community mural showing that Deer Park is a community of unique individuals that is stronger and more unified together. Each participant will get an 8" x 8" square and a choice of paint colors to create a hand print. The hand prints will become part of a 4' x 8' mural which will be displayed in the community. Painting can be messy, so please dress accordingly. The Deer Park "Hands Together" project will take place from noon - 1pm both Saturday and Sunday.
For those wanting to be part of the art, folks can step right into a famous painting and take a free selfie! Visit the Amdur Productions' ArtZipper booth where a special "green" screen will be in place for attendees to be part of such world-renowned pieces as Paris Street; Rainy Day by Gustave Caillebotte, Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, Whistler's Mother by James Abbott McNeill Whistler, and several others.
Capture Deer Park Art Show highlights and win prizes! Attendees who are 18 years and older are invited to take photos during the fest anytime between 10am - 5pm on September 1st and 2nd and submit them via email to FestPhotoChallenge@amdurproductions.com. All photos must be taken during that time to be considered. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive gift certificates to purchase art at ArtZipper.com.
