St. Theresa Welcomed 85 New Students in its 65th School Year

St. Theresa School started its 65th school year welcoming 85 new students on Wednesday bringing their student body to 385! The original school building was built in 1954 and underwent a complete renovation in 2017. The renovations include larger early childhood classrooms, updated lighting, heating and air conditioning, a new technology lab, two new science labs, a new library, a new performing arts classroom, a new lunch room, and a new secure main entrance.

In addition to more students, St. Theresa School has expanded their curriculum including more teachers, instructional aides and staff. The curriculum expanded to include foreign language beginning in kindergarten and weekly music, art, PE, and library beginning in preschool. The school has two Spanish teachers, including one for K-5th grade and one for middle school. Where many schools are removing art - St. Theresa hired an additional art teacher for Preschool - 5th grade and one for middle school. The school also offers regular music classes, drama, and band as an elective.

According to Miss Mary Keenley, Principal "St. Theresa School continues to be in a unique position of sustained growth in all grade levels. It is a school blessed with a community rich in Catholic faith, and an outstanding teaching and administrative staff dedicated to providing a superior education, forming Christian Scholars for the 21st century.
