St. Zachary Augustfest brings family fun to Des Plaines

St. Zachary Catholic Church in Des Plaines is holding its 34th annual Augustfest this weekend. The fest, which began Thursday, continues 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at 567 W. Algonquin Road.

"We come here every year," parishioner Anna Gutowski said Saturday. "This is a great event. Good food, good company, good fun."

Admission is $3 (free between 1 and 3 p.m.); children younger than 12 are admitted free.
