Chicago Steel set preseason schedule
The Chicago Steel announced Wednesday the team's schedule for the 2018-2019 preseason. The Steel will play a pair of home-and-home games against the Muskegon Lumberjacks and Central Illinois Flying Aces, with games at Fox Valley Ice Arena scheduled for Friday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 21.
Chicago's first exhibition game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. puck drop on Friday, Sept. 7 at home against Muskegon. The Steel then travel to Michigan for a 6:15 p.m. puck drop the following night at L.C. Walker Arena. The Steel last faced Muskegon in the First Round of the 2018 Clark Cup Playoffs with Chicago winning the best-of-three series 2-1, scoring an overtime winner in the deciding game to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Two weeks later the Steel play host to the Central Illinois Flying Aces on Friday, Sept. 21 puck drop slated for a 7:05 p.m. The teams will head down I-55 to Bloomington for a 7:07 puck drop on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Grossinger Motors Arena.
The Steel have announced that all blue, white and red zone tickets for Steel pre-season home games will be $10. Full-season ticket holders will receive both games as part of their ticket package. Mini-Plan holders may select a pre-season game as part of their package. The Budweiser Lounge, Steel Suites and group tickets are available for both pre-season games and are on sale now.
Single-game tickets for pre-season and regular season games will go on sale later this month.
Season ticket plans, starting at just 5 games for $45 are on sale now, and fans are invited to participate in Mini Plan Mania with the opportunity to win great prizes every Friday in August and September. Group tickets, suites and the Budweiser Lounge are now on sale for all Steel home games.
