Prospect Heights hosting document destruction event Aug. 25

Prospect Heights is hosting a document destruction event from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Metra Commuter Parking lot, 55 S. Wolf Road. The event is available to residents of Solid Waste Association of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) member communities. Staff will be checking with occupants of each vehicle for an ID to prove residency.

There is a limit of six paper shopping bags or file-size boxes per vehicle. No plastic bags, metal clips, plastic sleeves or binders will be accepted. Workers will remove paper from vehicles to place in carts. Then documents will then be loaded into the shredding truck.
