Cool jazz, wine make for mellow mood at Deer Park Town Center
The Deer Park Jazz & Wine Festival kicked off it's seventh year at Deer Park Town Center Saturday.
People gathered around the gazebo to listen to some cool jazz and enjoy a variety of different wines.
"We started seven years ago and the event has grown every year since then," said Angleika Fejklowicz, marketing coordinator for the Deer Park Twin Center.
Acts included Midwest Young Artists Conservatory Big Band, The Judy Roberts/Greg Fishman Quartet with vocalist Dan Ferris, Johnny Blas' Afro Libre Orchestra, Henry Johnson Quartet, and James Sanders & Conjunto.
The festival was free and open to all ages.
Additional fun included face painting and a balloon artist for kids, and a meet and greet with Instagram star and trick dog Livie the Morkie.
