Driver hurt after car flips into retention pond off I-90 near Huntley

A Wildwood woman was injured Friday when her car flipped into a retention pond in Huntley, Illinois state police said.
Joanna Girmscheid, 26, was exiting westbound I-90 onto southbound Route 47 when she lost control of her 2010 Hyundai. Rescuers pulled her out of the car, police said.
Girmscheid was in fair condition at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
State police were investigating the crash.
