Two charged with burglarizing vehicles in Naperville

Two men, one from Naperville and one from Texas, have been charged with burglarizing vehicles over the past few weeks in northwest Naperville, authorities said Wednesday.

Police said Isaac Springwater, 18, of the 1500 block of Bond Street in Naperville, is charged with burglary, battery, resisting a peace officer and one count of unlawful possession of a stolen firearm.

Major Gilmore III, 18, of the 100 block of Edgebrook Drive in Pasadena, Texas, is charged with three counts of burglary and one count of resisting a peace officer.

Police said they were called to the area around Route 59 and Paxton Drive around 4 a.m. Saturday for a report of two men trying to break into a home. While searching the area, police said they spotted Springwater and Gilmore, who tried to flee.

The subsequent investigation revealed Springwater and Gilmore were responsible for burglarizing four vehicles, police said.
