Father, son injured in Aurora shooting

An early morning shooting Wednesday in Aurora seriously injured a 38-year-old man and left his father wounded from flying glass, police said.

Officers were called about 2:50 a.m. to a home on the 400 block of South Fourth Street for a report of shots fired and two men hit. Arriving officers found the man suffering from several gunshot wounds and his 62-year-old father injured from shattered glass, police said.

The two victims were on the home's front porch when they were approached on foot by two suspects, police said. At least one of the men then opened fire and both took off running, police said.

Paramedics took the father and son to an Aurora hospital.

Police said they have not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
