Protecting the president but not the nation
Recently, I watched Jim Jordan, Trey Goudy and their cohorts on the House Judiciary Committee grill Peter Strzok of the FBI. They were working full-bore at their target, the undermining of the Mueller investigation. They intend to shield and protect their president from the outcome of that investigation. No thought is given to the nation and its interests and protection.
I have yet to see the House do a legitimate investigation of Russian interference in our election and can only draw one conclusion from that omission. The GOP is hoping for more help from Vladimir Putin in the next two elections.
And the November midterms are a little more than four months off.
