Working Lollapalooza is 'constant insanity': Elk Grove Village restaurateur

The owner-chef of Edzo's Burger Shop in Evanston, a regular vendor at Lollapalooza the last seven years, says the four-day music festival is "constant insanity and craziness."

Edzo's, one of nearly 40 food vendors at Lollapalooza, will be offering hand-cut french fries with sea salt, classic hamburgers, Flamin' Hot Cheeto french fries and spicy bacon cheeseburgers. The restaurant goes through about 100 pounds of beef every day, while the booth at Lolla goes through about 700 pounds daily.

Eddie Lakin of Elk Grove Village, who opened the shop in 2009, once clocked more than 60,000 steps in one day at the festival.

Lollapalooza, now in its 27th year, runs Thursday through Sunday in Grant Park in Chicago.
