Lazarus House to host fall golf outing Sept. 14

Lazarus House will host its first fall golf outing Friday, Sept. 14, at Prairie Landing Golf Club, 2325 Longest Drive in West Chicago.

Enjoy a day of golf at the Lazarus House Open followed by appetizers, awards and raffle winners.

Registration and open range starts at 11 a.m. with the shotgun start at noon.

All proceeds will benefit Lazarus House operating funds. You may make your reservations by calling Darlene at (630) 587-2144 or purchase online at www.lazarushouse.net/lazarushouseopen.

Reservations close Friday, Sept. 7. The cost is $175 per golfer.

It includes 18 holes of golf with cart rental and lunch. After golf, there will be hearty appetizers, awards and raffle announcements. It will be a cash bar.

Donations are now being accepted for sports tickets, entertainment tickets, restaurant gift certificates and golf foursomes.

Sponsorship opportunities include prize, hole an Eagle ranging from $500 to $1,000.

• Hole Sponsor, which includes signage and representation on the course for $500;

• Contest Sponsor, which includes signage and recognition during awards for $500;

• Eagle Sponsor, which includes four golfer packages and hole sponsor (signage and representation on the course) for $1,000.

Current sponsors include: VIM Recyclers, Pollyana Brewery, Kevin O'Kasick, Fred O'Kasick Sales, and Mason, Faith & Brammeier DDS.

Lazarus House is a nonprofit emergency shelter, Center for Transitional Living and Outreach Program.

They provide hospitality, food, safe shelter, and support to men, women and children who are homeless or in crisis from Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and western rural Kane County. Lazarus House offers everyone who comes to their doors the opportunity for hope and a future with the goal of independent living.
