Voting for a healthy economy

WBBM recently hosted a debate between Congressman Peter Roskam and his opponent Sean Casten. While congressman Roskam supported the recent tax overhaul, Mr. Casten refused to deny that he would be in favor of raising taxes, including the gas tax. He also supported the recent 32 percent tax hike that state leader Mike Madigan passed last year.

The recent tax reform referred to as "crumbs" has given tax cuts to a majority of Americans and has jump started the eight-year-long stagnant economy. The cuts have also given us record low unemployment rates especially in the minority community. It is great to see help wanted signs posted all over the area.

The tax cuts that congressman Roskam supported has also allowed companies such has Walmart to provide programs to pay for college tuition for its long time employees. I will support Congressman Roskam this election and a growing and healthy economic outlook for my family.
