Grayslake man indicted in Round Lake fatal crash
A Grayslake man was indicted Wednesday in Lake County on multiple counts related to the death of a Round Lake Beach man.
According to the Round Lake Park Police Department, the fatal accident occurred on March 25 about 9:11 p.m. on Hainesville Road. Police said that Walter Bajorek, 65, and his wife were driving when their vehicle was struck by Steven A. Rosellini's vehicle. The crash caused both cars to leave the road and a third vehicle suffered minor damage.
Police said Bajorek died of multiple injuries resulting from the crash.
Authorities said that Rosellini, 27, left the scene after the crash. He was taken into custody later by a police dog unit.
According to the Round Lake Park Police Department, Rosellini, of the 600 block of Swan Drive, is charged with failure to report an accident involving a death, two counts of aggravated DUI causing death, two counts of aggravated DUI causing bodily harm and one count of reckless homicide with a motor vehicle. Rosellini is being held on $1 million bond.
