Ravinia musicians to perform Tuesday at Metropolis in Arlington Heights

Members of Ravinia's Steans Music Institute, which brings top young professional musicians from around the world together each summer, and will perform Tuesday at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in downtown Arlington Heights.

The institute is a unique summer program for young professional musicians that focuses upon interpretation and performance. With enrollment limited to 35 violinists, violists, cellists, pianists and members of pre-existing chamber groups, young artists work with a distinguished international faculty for private coaching, chamber music and master classes.

The Metropolis performance takes place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the theater, 111 W. Campbell St. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at MetropolisArts.com, at the box office or by calling (847) 577-2121.

The performance is part of the Live Music Series at Metropolis, which brings some of the highest level musical talent to the area.
