Cool finish for Batavia's Windmill City Festival
Live music, "Chuck the Duck" races and a huge ice cream eating contest rounded out the fun Sunday during the final day of the Windmill City Festival at the Riverwalk in the heart of downtown Batavia.
Other highlights of the festival Sunday included the Bulldogs Unleashed the public art project, a craft and vintage market and a kids Fun Zone, featuring a 38-foot wacky obstacle course, rock climb and slide, and Velcro sticky wall.
Launched as a sidewalk sale in 1956 under the name Batavia Boo Boo Days, the event has transformed over its 62 years into a true community festival highlighting some of the best the community has to offer.
