Grand Avenue lane closures start Monday

Daily lane closures will take place on Grand Avenue (Route 132) between Route 45 and the Tri-State Tollway (Interstate 94) in Gurnee and Lake Villa beginning Monday, weather permitting.

The closures are necessary for a resurfacing project which includes pedestrian safety upgrades along Grand.

Daytime lane closures and intermittent nighttime lane closures will be necessary as part of the project, which includes resurfacing, pavement patching, drainage repair, signal repairs, new sidewalks and upgraded pedestrian crossings.
