Caring for Our Community benefit raises over $10,000 for Geneva Community Chest
The Geneva Community Chest, in collaboration with Fiora's Restaurant (voted best restaurant for the last 5 years and counting), Fox Valley Magazine and sponsors raised over $10,000 at the Caring for Our Community Benefit.
Proceeds from this event were donated by Fiora's to the Geneva Community Chest, a local nonprofit that raises funds for 25 charities.
Mike and Ann Anastasio, owners of Fiora's, are regular donors to numerous local charities and are pleased to support this wonderful charitable cause.
"We believe that giving back to the community is not only the best investment we can make, but also the most rewarding. We love Geneva and the wonderful people of the Fox Valley, and it's our pleasure and privilege to be able to contribute to the Geneva Community Chest."
Performances by Jon Conover and The Mary Hunt Band were highlights of the evening on Fiora's patio located on Third Street with guests dining in support of the Geneva Community Chest.
"We are very grateful to have such generous charitable partners like Mike and Ann who reached out to us about how they can give back to the community. The evening was a great success and we were so appreciative to have so many people join us in support of the GCC and the charities we support," said Ryan Moen, president of the Geneva Community Chest.
The Geneva Community Chest has events planned for the rest of summer such as the Donut Dash 5K Run/Walk, Cougars Night and their 15th annual golf outing on Monday, Aug. 27. Fiora's will be serving up an excellent dining experience all summer long in a setting from an era gone by.

Since 1970, the Geneva Community Chest is a local nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization benefiting Geneva and other residents in the Fox Valley. The Geneva Community Chest is managed locally by volunteers who provide time and expertise to raise funds each year for various social service charities in our community. The Geneva Community Chest board carefully screens and evaluates the charitable organizations that receive its funds.
